Anthropic introduced Claude Tag for Slack

Anthropic's June 23, 2026 announcement introduces Claude Tag: Claude joins Slack as a team member, anyone in a permitted channel can tag @Claude and delegate a task, and the result comes back in the thread. It is available in beta for Claude Enterprise and Team customers. Anthropic's routines documentation adds scheduled jobs, channel watching, and subscriptions to individual pull requests.

What this means for your business

Tagging covers "help me now" and "take a job and bring it back" in one place; the routines turn it into "keep doing agreed work" for specific event types. Record the exact events you rely on (a schedule, a watched channel, a pull request) rather than treating it as general-purpose automation.

Beta on two plans as of the source date. The claude.com product page lists Microsoft Teams as coming soon, not available. Anthropic's internal usage figures are its own.
