Long-context API work now has Opus 4.8 as the default ceiling across Claude API, Amazon Bedrock, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry.

It sits beside a migration guide and unchanged Opus 4.7 tool coverage, so builders get context scale without tool changes.
